When is my car due a service?
Your Toyota’s service interval is dependent upon the model that you own. Most Toyota passenger cars registered since January 2000 require a service every 15,000 kms or one year (whichever comes first). Toyota Avensis diesel models registered from July 2015, Verso models registered from January 2014 and Toyota Proace models since January 2013 have a 20,000 km or 1 year service interval (whichever comes first).
Where your vehicle tows heavy loads frequently, you may need more regular servicing due to the potential strain that this may place on the engine.
Failing to have your Toyota serviced regularly can endanger your vehicle warranty. If, for example, your vehicle develops a major problem during the warranty period and there is no evidence that your vehicle has been serviced as recommended, subsequent repairs may not be covered by your warranty.
Irregular servicing can also lead to reduced fuel efficiency, increased air pollution, and potentially damage the resale value of your vehicle.
Adhering to recommended service schedules also ensures your brake system, tyres, driveline, and steering components are inspected regularly for correct operation and wear. So, failing to have your vehicle regularly serviced can be putting your safety at risk and that of your passengers too.
